Enjoy intense colors in an urban sanctuary of Chùa Giác Lâm (Giac Lam Pagoda), a historic Buddhist pagoda believed to be the oldest temple in Ho Chi Minh City. Standing 65 m (213 ft) tall, this seven story stupa set in a lovely garden with a big Bodhi tree houses countless gilded figures blending Taoism, Confucianism and Buddhism. Built in 1744, the temple features a seated statue of the colorful haloed Buddha of Enlightenment with five children climbing all over him, and an elaborate candle holder with images of Buddha. Climb the pagoda and enjoy a panorama of the city from one of its octagonal balconies. it's a bigger site with the Giac Lam Pagoda, but also other temples and statues around. quiet, as off the road, and therefore pleasant to visit. no bit miracle, but just nice.

Its ~400 years old beautifully preserved and well maintained, culturally rich Buddhist temple...one of the best I have ever seen in whole South Asia. PS: not very busy on normal days and also its deep inside after crossing the main pagoda if anyone goes from road entry. We were about to miss but luckily while exploring till the last, we found it.
