Create an itinerary including Central Post Office
Completed in 1891, when Vietnam was still part of French Indochina, Central Post Office boasts a fusion of Gothic, Renaissance, and French architectural influences. The building's unmistakably European marble floors and looping arches serve as a reminder of the colonial influence on the region. Look for the antiquated telephone boxes and maps painted on the walls depicting the telegraph lines that crisscrossed Vietnam and Cambodia. You can use this still-operational post office to send postcards from the onsite souvenir shops to relatives and friends. With our online itinerary creator, Ho Chi Minh City attractions like Central Post Office can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • A really grand post office indeed. Reeks of the old world charm of how a post office had been like a century ago. There’s 2 small souvenir shops and 1 more down the central hall. Mail a postcard from here! You will be sure it gets sent out real quickly!!
  • One of the oldest buildings in Ho Chi Minh city - Sai Gon Central Post Office, built around 1886 -1891. A must-visit destination for any traveller on their first trip to this city !
