Completed in 1891, when Vietnam was still part of French Indochina, Central Post Office boasts a fusion of Gothic, Renaissance, and French architectural influences. The building's unmistakably European marble floors and looping arches serve as a reminder of the colonial influence on the region. Look for the antiquated telephone boxes and maps painted on the walls depicting the telegraph lines that crisscrossed Vietnam and Cambodia. You can use this still-operational post office to send postcards from the onsite souvenir shops to relatives and friends. With our online itinerary creator, Ho Chi Minh City attractions like Central Post Office can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

Easy to find, beautiful building. They offer posting services and sell cards and souvenirs. I was going to post a card back to my country and sadly a postal staff member was having a rude attitude towards me and my girlfriend when trying ask questions about posting. We didn't do anything wrong other than asking for help. This is not acceptable, this woman doesn't fit to work with public service. This is the reason for the low stars, otherwise its a good and affordable place and I would give it a 5 star if it wouldn't be for this rude woman.

Not worth the hype. Can spend less than 15 - 20 mins here - probably popular as it is located opposite to the famed cathedral. PS - if you are of the kind who likes to send postcards from places of travel, you’re in for a shocker when you learn that this particular post office doesn’t serve India.
