Iglesia de Santa Teresa, Caracas

In the heart of the downtown area stands Iglesia de Santa Teresa, a combination of two churches united by a dome. Construction on the Catholic church began in 1877 and was completed in 1881. Built in the neoclassical style, the church went on to be declared a national historic landmark in 1959. The west facing facade is dedicated to Saint Ana while the east facing is dedicated to Saint Teresa.
