Boasting the only home to wild rhinos in the country, the sanctuary protects over a dozen southern white rhinoceros and a number of other rescued animals, such as grey-crowned cranes and antelopes. The 7,000 hectare (17,297 acre) grounds also make for excellent bird-watching, with saddle-billed storks and red-knobbed coot among the 250 avian species.
