  • This was a temple to honor Hadrian after his death. It is picturesque, but nothing compared to the nearby library. There are pictures of what it would have looked like in its prime. Definitely stop...

  • It was built between 117-138 AD. The temple was built in honor of Emperor Hadrianus. The column arrangement in front of the cult room has a pediment called the Syrian type. The reliefs on the frieze found inside the inner wall: The legend about the foundation of the city is told Karl Androklos hunts wild boar. The Amazons and the meeting of the gods are depicted. Around 300 AD statues of Emperor Theodosius, Diocletianus, Maximianus, Constantius Clarus were erected right in front of the temple, and they have inscribed bases.
  • One of the amazing parts of Ephesus ancient city. This temple is quite important, yet if you want to understand it fully, you need to go the archological museum on the other side of the road, across the state hospital. Don’t miss out, the tablets and demostration in the museum are great. Anything in Ephesus is great actually, so take your time; don’t rush.
