Balıklıgöl (or Pool of Abraham, Halil-Ür Rahman Lake), is a pool in the southwest of the city center of Şanlıurfa, Turkey known in Jewish and Islamic legends as the place where Nimrod threw the Prophet Abraham into a fire. This place has many stories associated with its name. They are all make you wonder about this place. Also, it has a nature which makes you feel peaceful.

The authentic part of South East Turkey with local tourists. I think it is a peaceful place where you can find peace just by walking and enjoying the area. There are some restaurants where you can eat delicious food as well in Balikli Gol. You can also visit the cave where prophet Abraham was born. Would I go again to this place? Most definitely!!
