Lunenburg — 7 nights

An hour's drive from Halifax's international airport, Luneburg boasts both colorful buildings and a colorful history, as well as status as a World Heritage Site.
Visit St. John's Anglican Church and Ironworks Distillery for their historical value. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Gaff Point Trail and Shelburne's Museums By The Sea. Venture out of the city with trips to Hank Snow Home Town Museum (in Liverpool), Chester (Chester Golf Club & Graves Island Provincial Park) and Shelburne (Ross-Thomson House Museum & Dory Shop Museum). Next up on the itinerary: surround yourself with nature on Oak Island Tour, get engrossed in the history at Wile Carding Mill Museum, stop by Haskapa, and view the masterpieces at Laurie Swim Gallery.
