Tamarindo — 1 day

Surfing remains the main reason to take a trip to Tamarindo, as the beachside town is mostly known for its excellent waves.
On the 20th (Sun), stop by Azul Profundo Boutique and then enjoy the sand and surf at Tamarindo Beach.

Montreal, Canada to Tamarindo is an approximately 8.5-hour flight. You can also drive. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 1 hour traveling from Montreal to Tamarindo. Cap off your sightseeing on the 20th (Sun) early enough to go by car to Monteverde.

Monteverde — 1 night

Monteverde is all about natural attractions, not surprising for an eco-tourism hotspot known for its cloud forests and rich diversity of animal life.
Start off your visit on the 21st (Mon): tour the pleasant surroundings at Ranario Monteverde Frog Pond and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve.

Drive from Tamarindo to Monteverde in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of bus and taxi; or take a shuttle. Finish your sightseeing early on the 21st (Mon) to allow enough time to drive to La Fortuna de San Carlos.

La Fortuna de San Carlos — 3 nights

Drive from La Fortuna de San Carlos to Tortuguero in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a shuttle; or do a combination of bus and taxi. In March, plan for daily highs up to 34°C, and evening lows to 24°C. On the 26th (Sat), you're off to home.
