Hargeysa — 1 night

A capital of the self-declared state of Somaliland, Hargeisa is the second-largest city in Somalia.
On the 27th (Mon), buy something for everyone on your list at Dahabshiil Business Centre and then hunt for treasures at Livestock Market. On the next day, explore the galleries of Saryan Museum, then explore the striking landscape at Laas Geel, and then take in the spiritual surroundings of MiG Jet.

Mogadishu to Hargeysa is an approximately 3.5-hour flight. You can also drive. When traveling from Mogadishu in December, plan for slightly colder days in Hargeysa, with highs around 26°C, while nights are colder with lows around 15°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 28th (Tue) early enough to catch the flight to Mogadishu.

Swim in the warm waters, stroll over white sand, or play volleyball and other sports on the beaches of Mogadishu, the White Pearl of the Indian Ocean.
Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Villa Somalia and Bakara Market. Get in touch with nature at Liido Beach Somalia and Gezira Beach. And it doesn't end there: make a trip to Shanghai Old City, pause for some photo ops at The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier -Mogadishu, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Hadful Mosque, and learn more about the world around you at black Hawk Down crash site museum.
