Moonta is a town on the Yorke Peninsula of South Australia, 165km north-northwest of the state capital of Adelaide. Your day by day itinerary now includes Splash Town - Copper Coast. Attractions like The Copper Coast and Moonta Mines Museum make great kid-friendly stops. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Burra Heritage Trail and Gleeson Wetlands. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Moonta: Martindale Hall Historic Museum (in Mintaro), Sultana Point (in Edithburgh) and Walk the Yorke (in Minlaton). There's still lots to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Simms Cove and steep yourself in history at Moonta Heritage Trail 38.
