Ubud — 7 nights

Experience small-town Bali in Ubud, an atmospheric town surrounded by small settlements, farms, and rice paddies.
On the 8th (Sun), enjoy an adventurous day among the treetops at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks. There's still lots to do: stroll through Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, go for a walk through Campuhan Ridge Walk, take in the spiritual surroundings of Saraswati Temple, and explore the world behind art at Don Antonio Blanco Museum.

Traveling from Amsterdam in January, things will get much hotter in Ubud: highs are around 36°C and lows about 28°C. Amed — 4 nights

A snaking coastline and quaint, sleepy fishing villages characterize Amed, a stretch of shorefront with seven villages in Bali's east.
Change things up with a short trip to Spas in Nusa Dua (about 1h 35 min away).
