Kampala enjoys the reputation of a modern city with a buzzing atmosphere--it also serves as a good base point for exploring the surrounding area.
Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Elijah Mcquinn African Fashion and Umoja. Museum-lovers will appreciate Social Innovation Museum and Afriart Gallery. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Kampala: Entebbe (Victoria Mall, Entebbe Golf Club, &more). Spend the 17th (Sat) spotting exotic species with a safari tour. There's still lots to do: take in the spiritual surroundings of Gaddafi National Mosque, kick back and relax at Munyonyo Beach, take in the exciting artwork at Gallery Antique, and don't miss a visit to Baha'i Temple.

Lagos, Nigeria to Kampala is an approximately 13-hour flight. You can also drive. The time zone difference when traveling from Lagos to Kampala is 2 hours. Traveling from Lagos in December, expect Kampala to be slightly colder, temps between 30°C and 22°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 20th (Tue) so you can catch the flight to Kasese.
