Naples is the capital of the Italian region Campania and the third-largest municipality in Italy after Rome and Milan. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Naples: Pompeii (House of Menander (Casa del Menandro) & Villa dei Misteri), Salerno (Promenade Trieste & Villa Comunale) and Vesuvio National Park (in Ottaviano). When traveling from Toronto in March, plan for much warmer days in Naples, with highs around 19°C, while nights are a bit warmer with lows around 9°C.
