Signagi — 1 night

Signagi or Sighnaghi is a town in Georgia's easternmost region of Kakheti and the administrative center of the Signagi Municipality. Start off your visit on the 9th (Wed): wander the wide-open spaces of Living Roots Horse Ranch (Lost Ridge Ranch) and then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Bodbe Monastery of St. Nino. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: contemplate the long history of Signagi City Walls and then take a peaceful walk through Vashlovani National Park.

Grozny, Russia to Signagi is an approximately 7.5-hour car ride. Traveling from Grozny in February, things will get somewhat warmer in Signagi: highs are around 10°C and lows about 0°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 10th (Thu) early enough to drive to Tbilisi.

You can drive from Aspindza to Batumi in 4.5 hours. Another option is to do a combination of taxi and bus. February in Batumi sees daily highs of 14°C and lows of 5°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 20th (Sun) to allow enough time to drive to Gagra.

Gagra — 3 nights

Once popular as a health resort during Imperial Russian and Soviet times, Gagra today attracts a small contingent of international visitors seeking ideal summer weather and its seaside promenade, which hugs the coastline of the Black Sea.
Change things up with these side-trips from Gagra: New Athos (Anacopia Fortress & New Athos Cave) and Ritsinskiy Relic National Park (in Gudaut'a). In February in Gagra, expect temperatures between 13°C during the day and 4°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Wed) so you can travel to Stepantsminda.

Whatever you decide to do on your trip to Stepantsminda, you'll remember it by the unsurpassed beauty of its alpine landscapes.

The time zone changes from Moscow Standard Time to Georgia Standard Time, which is usually a 1 hour difference. Cap off your sightseeing on the 25th (Fri) early enough to travel back home.
