Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.
Start off your visit on the 4th (Sat): stop by Ljubljana Old Town, then glide peacefully along the water with some of the best stand-up paddleboarding in the area, and then stroll around Tivoli Park.

Hamburg, Germany to Ljubljana is an approximately 6.5-hour combination of flight and shuttle. You can also do a combination of flight and train; or drive. Step off the beaten path and head to Velika Planina and Gradisko Lake. Get out of town with these interesting Kamnik side-trips: Dobrna (Villa Ruzicka, The Parish Church of the Assumption of Mary, &more) and Atelje Skulj - Pottery Studio (in Kranj).
