Glenelg — 14 nights

The oldest European settlement on South Australia's mainland, Glenelg is named after a former Secretary of State for War and the Colonies, Lord Glenelg.
Venture out of the city with trips to Victor Harbor (Granite Island, Urimbirra Wildlife Park, &more), McLaren Vale (d'Arenberg, Fox Creek Wines, &more) and The Cedars (in Hahndorf). There's much more to do: take in the waterfront at Glenelg Pier, tour the pleasant surroundings at Henley Beach, enjoy the sand and surf at Aldinga Beach, and take an in-depth tour of South Australian Maritime Museum.

To see maps, photos, more things to do, and tourist information, you can read our Glenelg online trip itinerary builder.

In January, daytime highs in Glenelg are 34°C, while nighttime lows are 19°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 12th (Wed) early enough to travel back home.
