San Ignacio — 2 nights

Cayo Town

The cultural hub of the district, San Ignacio neatly blends tourism and tradition, expats and indigenous peoples into a convincingly authentic, but modern and welcoming inland town.
Kick off your visit on the 29th (Sun): stroll through Green Iguana Conservation Project and then Head underground at ATM Cave Belize- Actun Tunichil Muknal. Here are some ideas for day two: explore the ancient world of Cahal Pech, contemplate the long history of Xunantunich Mayan Ruins, then view the masterpieces at Cappello's Art Gallery, and finally stop by Kaj Expressions Cayo.

Hopkins — 3 nights

Advertised as the "Friendliest Village in Belize," Hopkins remains a small fishing settlement on a stretch of golden coastline that offers plenty of modern amenities.
Get out of town with these interesting Hopkins side-trips: Dangriga (Studio Gallery Cayetano & Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Preserve). Next up on the itinerary: stroll through Glover's Reef Marine Reserve, trek along Outback Trails, see Off-Road Tours, and see the vivid underwater world at Mesoamerican Reef (Belize Barrier Reef).
