It´s well worth a visit if you´re going up to the Burgkirche anyway. It has an impressive interior - I´ve never seen anything like it before.

Suprised that under the churche lie another one direct in the rock. Today was the motorcycle blessing there.

Churchyard open at all times. I visited on a Sunday afternoon. Ten to twenty minute walk from Raron station. The path uphill to the church is gorgeous. Charming cottages and lion-head fountains. Rilke's grave overlooks the whole valley and has one bench in front of it. During a sunlit day the wind howls gently and wind chimes sound. Amazing ambience, just air and light. A fitting resting place for one of the greatest poets who ever wrote.
