Fascinatingly geometric, Casa Amatller represents a prime example of the Modernisme architectural style. Considered one of the three most important buildings in Barcelona, the 20th-century structure features a pyramid-like roof and an interior lined with intricate columns and stained-glass windows. It was originally built for chocolatier Amatller Antoni Costa, and the ground floor of the residence has been restored to preserve the atmosphere of its first owner. Tours of the house are offered at specific times and for small groups; book tickets in advance or in the lobby of the building.
