  • Absolutely fascinating museum. We had never before heard of the forced removal and genocide of the native Slovenes by the occupying Nazis from Maribor and the surrounding areas (although, when one thinks about it, given that the Reich was only a few miles away, of course this was the fate of the locals). We left educated, but also moved and outraged. We also enjoyed the exhibitions on Maribor life before WW2, under occupation and then within Communist Yugoslavia, and had an interesting discussion with the museum curators. Overall, I recommend this museum strongly to anyone with an interest in history.
  • I'm not a big of museum. It's not a very big museum. But yea you can find interesting. The guide explained about the history of maribor. There are material from work war. It wasn't any busy at all. We were the only one. So yea I mean it's a museum go if you want. The guide guy was cool tho. I played the piano there and my friends though It was not permissible so they got angry at me but when the guide asked if I wanted to continue my friend said it was him who played the piano🤣 Lol I just stayed quiet lol.
