Create an itinerary including Tivoli Park
Enjoy some outdoor recreation among the bucolic lawns, pastures, rose gardens, and wooded areas of Tivoli Park. Nestled among rolling hills, the largest park in the city was laid out in 1813 and is also home to a number of cultural sites, such as a 17th-century mansion and a neoclassical castle with the fountain guarded by four cast-iron dogs. At the park's entrance, notice the monument dedicated to the founder of the Slovene national identity, Primoz Trubar. Kids can enjoy adventure playgrounds with mini-golf areas and a zoo. The lawn beside a shallow rectangular pond features an open-air library, which moves into the nearby greenhouse during winter. • This park is really pretty huge, and we were exploring it in the rain. So our experience wasn't as favorable as it would have been during great weather. But the park itself is really nice with lots...

  • We went to play mini golf. €5pp. Course surface is concrete but well maintained. But we did have to remove leaves and conkers from the course. Some interesting holes. We enjoyed it.

  • Really lovely park with hiking trails into the hills just on the edge of the city centre. I was there on Christmas day (25/12) so all the museums were closed, but I’d definitely return to check them out. There was a nice outdoor photo exhibit near the entrance to the park.
  • This is my cat's favourite place for exploration, but besides that, the whole park is just right. All trails are marked and clean and it is really hard to get lost, the outside gallery is surprisingly good every time (well done!), and the botanical side of Tivoli park is something that is underestimated, it is home to a huge number of species, especially the garden itself, I mean, BRAVO!
