Definitely a very unique beach, as the Mayans ruins overlook the entire beach. It wasn't possible to go on it though due to the newest covid restrictions.

A huge old Mayan ruins in the jungle, the area is very accessible and you can see a lot of interesting history, animals and great views of the nature and the ocean. I would recommend you get a tour guide in order to enjoy it to the max and actually get context about a lot of the greenery and the ruins and the Mayan history

These ruins are amazing. We just did sort of a self guided tour by walking from building to building and reading the signs. If I had to do it again, I probably would have paid a guide to show us around and tell us more background on things. Still, we had a great time and the views of the Caribbean were amazing.
