St. Peter's Church represents one of the oldest and most valuable monuments of medieval architecture in the Baltic states. This Lutheran church, part of the Old Town's historic center, is listed as a World Heritage Site. Nazi Germans bombed the church during World War II, and the Soviets completed the destruction after the war. It wasn't rebuilt until 1983. The church hall houses exhibits and concerts, and the observation deck at the top of the tower offers a view of the entire city. • The church itself is unremarkable but the views from the tower over Riga are lovely! Take the stairs to the third floor and then the elevator takes you to the top.

  • The view from the tower has a separate review page and that is good. The church itself is mediocre at best though the staff all seem very pleasant.

  • Stunningly elegant church set in the middle of Old Riga. Nice setting and a lovely part of town. Beautiful bell tower and we are just musing whether to pay the €7 fee for the view or not?🧐. Nice interior but not the grandest/historical of churches I’ve seen. Stiff competition in Europe in this category. However we’ll worth a visit.
  • Beautiful view from the clocktower! The church itself was pretty simple, the oldness of it was attractive, but otherwise nothing too special, which is why not 5 stars. But I think the observation deck is definitely worth the visit, incredibly windy this time of year, but it's a lovely way to enjoy Riga from above.
