St. Peter's Church represents one of the oldest and most valuable monuments of medieval architecture in the Baltic states. This Lutheran church, part of the Old Town's historic center, is listed as a World Heritage Site. Nazi Germans bombed the church during World War II, and the Soviets completed the destruction after the war. It wasn't rebuilt until 1983. The church hall houses exhibits and concerts, and the observation deck at the top of the tower offers a view of the entire city. • Well worth a visit to not only learn about the history of the church but also to go up into the Tower via the lift. The views over Riga are truly breathtaking + well worth the 9 euros .

  • For €9 you will see pretty much whole town, especially old part of it. It's worth going to the top of this church if you are visiting Riga and love to see the city from the top.
  • The tallest church in Riga. Right now it hosts landscape painting exhibition dedicated to artist Pīgoznis memory. Worth seeing. On Tuesdays retired people go free of charge!
