Explore the Basilica di Superga to discover the tombs of many princes and kings of the House of Savoy. The church you see here today is a result of a promise Duke Victor Amadeus II of Savoy made in September 1706. He climbed a hill and saw Turin besieged by Franco-Spanish forces. He swore that, in case of victory, he would have a monument built to the Virgin Mary on the very hill where he stood. Climb the church's spiral staircase for views the city and, on clear days, the Alps. Take a guided tour for access to special areas. The Basilica was great but the drive and view form Superga was outstanding. Gives you an amazing view of Turin with the mountains in the distance.

Always a great place to come, relax and enjoy great views of Turin. This is a quick getaway place from the main city. The drive upwards is good, but I recommend you to take the train which is very scenic and a great experience. The church has very specific timings for the holy mass, which I’m not sure of. But the inside of the church is very beautiful and has a lot of tourists visiting when it is open. I have been here numerous times, it’s just a very nice place.

Beautiful and charming place. With the right person has also a romantic atmosphere. Here you can enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the entire city of Turin and beyond you admire the Superga Cathedral. Must To visit. it's also a good place near turin, where escaping the air pollution of the metropolitan city. Remember that will always be almost 2/3 degrees less than in town, so it's better bring a scarf with you.
