The only existing bascule bridge in Italy, it spans a canal connecting the Great Sea to Mar Piccolo and was built to allow the passage of military ships, which still pass through today. Is not a Museum but there is a place nearby where to visit part of the castle, just cross the bridge and you will find the information point at the castle, a great place, especially at night, from here you can enjoy a view of the castle, sea and city. Few steps from the old city where you can enjoy a walk in the almost characteristic place in Taranto. If you come here is a place where you can sit, relax or wolk on the long sea way
