Experience a softer side of the dramatic Amalfi Coast by taking Walk of the Gods. Carved into the cliffs high above the sea, the famous trail connects tiny hilltop town of Agerola with Nocelle. The constantly changing landscape and gorgeous views of the deep blue sea and coastal towns below make this gently downhill route worthy of its name. Originally carved out by Greek settlers in the 8th century B.C.E., the moderately difficult hike takes three hours and leads past terraced farmland and centuries-old grottos. A fabulous hike (we did downhill to Positano) but not for the faint hearted. I'm not an experienced hiker and found parts of this walk a little scary i.e. hugh cliffside drops on very rocky paths...
