Santuario della Madonna della Pace, Menaggio

The town of Nobiallo is crossed by a historic stretch of the ancient Via Regina, which in a short time begins to climb northwards and reaches the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Pace, an octagonal building from 1660, preceded by a pronaos, with a polygonal apse and bell tower. The church was built following the miracle of the tearing of a Madonna venerated in a chapel along Via Regina, at the foot of the sanctuary; the event is represented in a marble bas-relief, now kept in the tabernacle of the church.
