Caught the ferry from La Spezia to spend the day here. Some spectacular views from different parts of the castle. Worth going o the very top although 5 euro entry is a bit much. Nice and peaceful...

A life-changing experience. The weather was kind when we were there and the blue green sea lapped the jettisons in the bright sunshine. A wedding was taking place (by chance) in the beautiful little church overlooking the calm sea below. For those brief moments, I could have been viewing heaven and this stuff sticks with us. Since returning to normality and the bleak nature of everyday life, I have a new sanctuary in which to dwell. Beautiful.
