Azienda Agricola Altiero (Winery), Greve in Chianti

We discovered this place by accident during a scooter tour through Tuscany and could not have asked for a better experience! The azienda is located beautifully in between vineyards and olive trees with a spectacular view. They offer an informative tour through their wine cellar and wine tastings with delicious snacks. The team is very dedicated in producing high-quality wines and you really taste their passion and love in the produce. Thank you for sharing a bit of Chianti wisdom with us!

After reading the reviews I was interested to try this small vineyard. Unfortunately we were not impressed by the welcome. « Did you make reservation ». No We did not feel very welcome from that point. I did not read any where that for a wine tasting it was required, we did not want to have a full visit but simply to taste and buy some wine. Be aware that we were charged 8€ per person to have overall some good but expensive wines. Starting at 14€ to 50€ per bottle, no white wine as they do not produce them. Overall not the most spectacular day at that vineyard, I have found some much better. However, I will say that the girl although cold at the beginning speaks French, English ,Italian was very nice with us. Let just say in conclusion we did not buy any wine. First impression stayed with us. Move on.
