Admire Romanesque architecture in the heart of Tuscany at Palazzo Vecchio. Built at the turn of the 14th century, the palace now serves as the city's town hall and boasts a collection of art and interior decor from the last six centuries. Tour the Salone dei Cinquecento, with its gold-paneled ceiling and colorful murals, or head outside to see the antique, decorative facade and the original site of Michelangelo's "David" statue. You can visit the palace's three courtyards and outdoor areas free of charge, or pay for a complete tour of the building's interior. Very nice place to visit, but the admission ticket is just too expensive – especially when compared to the price of other attractions in Florence.

Beautiful and surprising! Many of the painting need restoration, but they are so beautiful. Each room tells a story and I love that many of the rooms are dedicated to women warriors. Went with a stroller for my child, they have an elevator available, needed to go up some steps but it was manageable. Staff was helpful and friendly.

The building is incredibly beautiful and the details of the interior is incredible. This place is a home to many gorgeous and iconic art pieces such as different paintings and sculptures. There are some of Michelangelo’s finished and unfinished works that allow you to understand just how much of a genius he was. The place is the heart of Florence, so it’s a must-see for all the visiting tourists!
