Follow a day in the life of a seaweed farmer at Mushroom Beach, where you'll learn about the lucrative local trade. The farming relies on two factors, the ebb and flow of the tide and the growth cycle of different kinds of seaweed. Seaweed can only be harvested at low tide, so the farmers must plan their day accordingly--even if that means going out in the boats in the middle of the night. The growth cycle varies from 15 to 30 days. Visit the farm and see the operation unfold, from the white fishing boats that dot the bay to the freshly cropped seaweed spread out on the beach to dry. This is a small beach just near to my Hotel. As this is the ferry point, so lot of boats are found all the time. The canal tours also start from here. The Sand is bit mushy.
