Kalavantin Durg is at Prabalgad, with an approach road from Panvel. The trek is difficult with steep climbing towards the end of the fort. You can easily climb half way but need to be an expert...

This trek was an amazing experience. Takes around 2/2½ hours to reach the top with an average speed. There's Prabalmachi village which comes in between, nearly around a but more than the halfway but after this point when you start again going towards the top it gets slightly more tough.

Fun as always. The steps look scary in the pictures but once there just take it one step at a time and you'll be just fine. Would not recommend for beginners though as the descent will force you to see the steep slopes. That's not something everyone can stomach well.
