Salar Jung Museum, Hyderabad

This place is filled with antiques. It's neatly maintained. The staff always make sure it's clean. However there's a catch. If you wanna take photos you've to take ticket for mobile in addition to adult ticket. The security staff are so instructed that if you've mobile and it has a camera and even if you don't plan to take photos with it you've to pay extra ₹25/-. Otherwise you may use the locker facility in the cloak room and deposit all your mobiles in a single locker for ₹10/-. The locker is securely closed and you can carry the keys till you plan to exit the museum. Some sections of the museum are worth watching while some you may not find so interesting. I found many sections closed. It may be under renovation. The food plaza is not that pleasing though there are variety of sections. All in all it's a place you should go if you're in a mood for some historical craving. There is an app installed with QR code so that you can have audio tour in addition to visual feast. I don't know the timings of show which as i came to know gives you a run through the initial stages of the museum.

Nice place to witness the history. Neat and clean. Well secured both inside and outside. Ticket price fare. A cloakroom is also there. The car/bike parking place is there too. Drinking water is available. Men’s washroom has to keep fresh - spoiling the mood. Visitors have to pay for taking photos - a right move by the admin. A guided tour is available through the mobile app - a nice adaptation of technology. Visited this month, completed the ground floor. Has to revisit to finish off the rest. A must-visit place for every city hopper. The one thing that I would like to mention as a cautionary note, beware of the self-declared city guides waiting for you outside the museum. Negotiate with them sensibly.
