Daniel Johnson's Monkey and Sloth Hang Out, Roatan

This was an awesome experience! I would recommend this for anyone who is visiting the area. The handlers were very knowledgeable and friendly. Everyone who wanted to hold the sloths had the opportunity. We were able to take pictures as much as we wanted of our up close experience with these gentle creatures. The squirrel monkeys were quite an adventure. Make sure to heed the warnings of removing anything shiny possibly even considering removing hair bows as mine was of particular interest to these curious creatures. One thought that he would relieve me of it but I was able to salvage it. The macaws were in quite the mood the day that we were there but they are beautiful to look at. All in all this was a once in a lifetime experience. Amazing experience for children and adults alike! Highly recommend!

This place is absolutely worth visiting while your staying in Roatan. Our guide was very friendly and being able to interact with the monkey’s, sloths, and parrots was a very fun experience! For $12 per person if you plan on just looking at the animals I think it’s very much fair and even bang for buck (compared to a lot of other places here.) on top of that you r supporting the sanctuary itself so it’s also going to a good cause. Would definitely recommend stopping by!
