Unearth one of the world's biggest collections of Maya art with a visit to Museo Popol Vuh. Home to an extensive collection of pre-Colombian and colonial art and artifacts from the Maya people, the museum houses a particularly impressive exhibit of funerary ceramic art, as well as some of the best-preserved Maya vases and bowls in existence. Through the museum’s many displays, you'll uncover pieces dating as far back as the Paleoindian era of 9,000 BC, right up to the baroque and renaissance sculptures of the 19th century. You can park nearby at the University Francisco Marroquín campus. • I truely loved and my visit to the museum and had a chance to go back through their objects, relics and archeological pieces. I love that the explanation was in both English and Spanish. Big collection, I love Guatemala.
  • Well put together museum with interesting artifacts. All information is in both English and Spanish. Definitely worth the extra 5Q to be able to take photos.
