Create an itinerary including Arco de Santa Catalina
An iconic landmark, Arco de Santa Catalina represents the only portion of the once-flourishing Convent of St. Catherine that's left standing. Built in 1694, the arch spans a street and was used by nuns to cross from one building to another without being seen on the street. The bright yellow structure boasts a rich history and has become a symbol of the city. The clock tower was added in the 1830s. • Headed here on arrival to view the Arch and take the obligatory photo of Volcano Agua. It’s definitely framed better for photos early morning or late afternoon

  • Stunning, peaceful ambiance on a cobble stone street with amazing boutiques, restaurants, and shops within a 100 meters walk. 74F/23C and moderately humid, the weather is perfect. Although it is a tourist destination it was not overcrowded with tourists. Antigua feels different than anywhere else in Central America. Worth a repeat trip!!
  • What a beautiful and colourful town! Stayed here a few days before hiking the volcano but could have stayed here a few weeks due to all the countless high quality restaurants. Hope to come back in the future
