More than 8,000 tools, textiles, and household items come to life in a traditional countryside setting at Open Air Museum of Ethnography. Spread across 52 hectares (128 acres) of hilly terrain, this museum features over 70 houses representing 14 ethnographic regions, including Abkhazia, Khevsureti, and Ossetia. In addition to displays of typical architectural style and objects, you'll also absorb the atmosphere of a traditional home and immerse yourself in legends and stories of Georgia if you take a guided tour. A few old buildings, which were not bad. I liked seeing the way people lived but many of them were locked up, not a great cultural experience.

Cool place. Awesome guides in each house. Very informative, allowed me to discover a bunch of new info about the past of Georgia. Some buildings are closed, some hard to find, but it's worth it.

Great historical / cultural museum. They have houses from different villages/groups and a lot of them are open with a guide inside to tell you what the place is and what the tools and furniture are. We had so much fun!
