In the heart of the Left Bank, Luxembourg Gardens is arguably the loveliest park in Paris, with lush lawns radiating out from a pond centerpiece. Inspired by the Boboli Gardens of Florence, these gardens were created in 1612 by Queen Marie de Medici. Whether you're by yourself or with a whole group, this park is a relaxing reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the city. You can watch locals play the legendary French game of boules or simply stroll past over 100 distinct statues. Luxembourg Gardens is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our , custom trip planner Edition.

Our hotel literally has the same name as the gardens, so we were really close and - of course- walked to the 'Jardin de Luxembourg'. It is a clean, nice and architecturally interesting place...

Majestic gardens in Central Paris, full of people enjoying the beautiful flowers and fountains, and viewing countless epic statues like the ring of French queens going back hundreds of years. Kids will love the playgrounds and renting little sailboats to float in the central fountain. Great place to explore.

Beautiful... had a lovely picnic there. the statues were very interesting. I enjoyed reading all of the information about them. My son and I did almost a little treasure hunt, looking for various statues. It was a bit on the dusty side because of the driveways but I'm thinking it's because the weather was so dry over the summer.
