  • Absolutely breathtaking!! If you’re able, stop at this off the beaten path waterfall. The magnitude and strength of the water is incredible. It’s on the road, no admission, and you can take a very short path to walk behind the waterfall and someone with you can take a pic. Several people were doing that. We stopped here on a tour. At the time we were there, there were only about a dozen or so people. I didn’t walk behind the falls but now worth I had.
  • This place is perhaps the best Costa Rican tourist attraction to go to. While it ain’t cheap, it includes a nice meal and the animals, butterfly grounds and the monkey stage are worth it alone. The walk down to the waterfalls and the shuttle back for lunch is really a unique experience. Do keep in mind that it’s a long walk up/down and you should use shoes and likely bring a cape or something to keep you dry should you want to get close to the waterfalls or the picture spots. The trail has a handrail and it’s pretty safe to walk down. Do not think twice about doing this unless you have mobility issues.
