Create an itinerary including Uvita Beach
An unspoiled beach within the Marino Ballena National Park, Uvita Beach features a gently curving shoreline with clear blue waters. Dense plant life full of palm trees and mangroves line the beachfront, while further inland you'll find several waterfalls. Watch for migrating humpback whales on the ocean's surface or Hawksbill sea turtles coming ashore to nest. An abundance of marine life fills the waters, making this a good spot for snorkelling and diving. Take a kayak tour to check out the mangroves and surrounding estuaries. Put Uvita Beach into our Uvita sightseeing planner to see other points of interest to visit during your vacation in Uvita.

  • Breathtaking, pristine, zero garbage anywhere, huge, dark sand, amazing sunsets, nice bathrooms and showers at entrance. Nicest beach I have experienced in my 1/2 century.

  • This beach is stunning and well worth the 6 dollars as this is the only way to access the Whale tale.

  • One of my most favourite beaches in Costa Rica. Good for watching the sunset. But be prepared that you need to pay 6 dollars + tax just to enter for the day and the time is limited. Warm water, nice swimming. Adding a picture from the plane :)
  • Gorgeous, idyllic beach, with stunning back drop. The beach is very spacious and the sea is warm. There are different spots for paddling and surfing. Tickets for non residents are approximately $6USD and you can come and go throughout that same day. Be mindful of tide changes and making sure you allow yourself adequate time to leave the beach safely (check local tides / times).
