  • Jen our tour guide was great and extremely informative! We saw some many different birds, insects and trees. The best part was seeing the baby sloth. The university campus is beautiful as well.

  • Creepy, crawlies may not be your taste, but the Museum of Insects in the basement of the Music building at this University is one of San Jose's hidden treasures. If it flies, crawls or creeps, this...

  • University of Costa Rica and the surrounding is a great place to catch the local vibe. Probably one of the more safer areas of San Jose. Lots of statues around the campus to look at and learn the history of the university. You will also be able to walk the many trails around campus. The university has definitely integrated nature into campus life as they also offer a guided nature walk so you can learn more about the animals in the local area. The students are very friendly and enjoy practicing their English speaking skills so the area feels a bit more welcoming to foreigners.
  • I had a midnight flight and i didn't know what to do in San Juan. So i went to the UCR, in hope to see a sloth and after 2h of walking around i saw 3 of them hanging in a tree. Totally worth it. Amazing food too
