  • Small but well maintained butterfly park with beautiful plants. Don’t miss the Contemplation Path which goes all the way down to the river. Even in the rainy season it was not too slippery.

  • It is a nice place. The price is fine and if you are a student you get a discount. The garden looks pretty and at the end you can take a walk around a small patch of forest area in the middle of San José. It's not a big area, but it was above our expectations.
  • I cannot say how happy I was I decided to visit this place. It's like an oasis of peace, nature and beauty, in a city where I thought I would find nothing of the sort. If, like me, you prefer nature to cities, go spend a couple hours here, take your time, sit with the butterflies and recharge your batteries. I loved walking down to the river too.. it's hard to believe you are still in the city. Bonuses: the people I met at the reception were very kind; they have bug spray you can use before you dive in (not sure how great it is for the butterflies); there is free wi-fi; they have water and snacks that you can buy if you need a little pick-me-up when you are done :)
