San Luis Waterfall, Perez Zeledon

Surrounded by verdant rainforest, San Luis Waterfall plummets an impressive 100 m (330 ft) into a pool below. Take a dip beneath the falls, have a picnic, and keep your eye out for monkeys and different varieties of birds in the thick forest surrounding. Choose from several options for getting to the waterfall; you can opt for a scenic horseback ride or three-hour trek through the forest (but be sure to wear appropriate footwear as it can get slippery).
