  • Absolutely stunning rainforest. One of the best that I’ve ever seen. A good hike with a few steep sections but very doable. Was extremely wet and muddy when I went so good hiking boots would be a plus.
  • This reserve was excellent! We actually had the most fun hike at Santa Elena as it was off the beaten path a bit and led you deeper into the jungle. We saw so many amazing bugs, birds, and fungi along the way. I saw so many reviews that said Santa Elena would take 1 1/2 hours to do but that is entirely wrong! You can spend as little or as much time we you'd like. There are many different trails to take, so you can keep yourself entertained way longer than an hour and a half especially if you love nature!
