Dave & Dave's Costa Rica Nature Park, La Virgen

We have had a wonderful experience at this place. We have loved the tour here and it was one of the highlights of our trip. We had the luck to be the only visitors at the time, so we had the place to ourselves with Dave. 100% wild birds! The visitor can stay on a platform watching the birds feeding, its an excellent photo opportunity. The walk through the property down to the river was also very beautiful and interesting. Dave told us about how nature managed to claim this land back after being used as Playstation land. Also, we saw lots and lots of poison dart frogs here. We definitely recommend to visit this place to anyone going to this area. Thank you, Papa Dave, for your time, showing us around your property and sharing your knowledge.

Amazing experience. Saw all three types of toucan, a multitude of hummingbirds, and many other birds. Spied some poison dart frogs and a family of tayras. Dave and Dave are friendly, knowledgeable and wonderful to chat to. Definitely worth it.
