Beautiful, gorgeous beach but we got viciously robbed. We were 5 feet from our car and must have left it unlocked for a short time, but someone came in and took 3 backpacks and a purse in the blink..... more

If you drive from San José, you will need between 2 and 2 and a half hours to reach this hidden gem. Unlike the nearby Jacó and Esterillos, Bejuco Beach is much less crowded. There is plenty of room to walk. Watch out for the dangerous currents though.
