Finca Luna Nueva, Chachagua

Finca Luna Nueva is such a gem. This is our second visit and if we return to Costa Rica we will certainly return to Luna Nueva. The communication is incredible. Such quick and compassionate responses to all of our questions. When we had to cancel our trip due to Covid shut down in March of 2020, Finca Luna Nueva graciously held our deposit until we could return this past April. We loved the farm tour. The accommodations, while rustic, are comfortable and the pool is a delight. There was so much to love - the hikes, the mission, the location, the sloths! - but what impacted us most is the way that we were treated as guests. Byron in the restaurant was incredibly friendly and accommodating. When our picky eaters (age 6 and 9) struggled with finding something they liked, Byron found us secret bagels and special smoothies. The front desk staff answered countless questions and helped make arrangements for us. We could tell Ariel had a very warm smile, even from behind his mask. This place is incredibly special and the only downside to sharing how much we love it is that it might be more crowded the next time we visit. So much love to Finca Luna Nueva, their staff and the hard work they are doing to make the world a better place.

Finca Luna Nueva was a wonderful experience!! Everything was perfect from the premises to the food. It is a beautiful, clean, safe and accomodating place! Ariel, Byron and Ulises in the restaurant were fantastic. The best food that we had in Costa Rica. Danny and Stephanie arranged our activities for us and took care of anything we needed help with. We highly recommend this incredible Lodge and can't wait to return and bring our daughter and grandsons with us.
