Nauyaca Waterfalls Nature Park, Perez Zeledon

Completely different from when I was here seven years ago. I don't even remember if we had to pay last time I was here but now they'll give you a ride from the entrance all the way to the waterfall more or less so your walk becomes really short. You don't even have to earn the views anymore!! But you can no longer climb the waterfalls or cliff jump due to injuries. You can swim in the pools when the water level is normal though. It was closed this time due to high water levels and currents. The upper pool and lower creek is always open though no matter the water level. My favorite waterfall in Costa Rica that i actually think is worth paying for. Cool jungle walk and some weird sculptures and funny signs along the trail. Local companies offer rappelling tours here , we weren't able to do it this day due to powerful water .

One of the BEST places in Costa Rica. I recommend it 100%. Go in summer so that you can swim in the waterfall. Be aware, there are three ways of reaching the waterfalls: by walking, by horse or by "taxi". Walking is of course free but it's a 4km walk. There are "taxis" that can take you there but you have to pay. There are bathrooms and showers at the parking lot and the waterfalls.
