Create an itinerary including Wulff Castle
A stone, medieval-style castle built right on the shores of the Pacific Ocean, Wulff Castle pairs striking architecture with scenic surroundings. The castle was built in 1906 as a private project for German businessman and philanthropist, Gustavo Adolfo Wulff Mowte. In the years following Wulff’s death, the castle has hosted many institutions, such as a maritime museum, a library museum, a sea culture museum, and municipal offices; today it is a national historical monument. Many visitors are drawn to the site for the backdrop it provides for coastal photos. You’ll get the best views from the lookout point next to the castle. • Made a day trip from Valparaiso specifically to see this gem that is along an ocean front road. The same ocean front road -- from the Sheraton, past Castillo Wulff, an onward -- is under active...

  • It is currently closed. You can walk onto the terrace to see the sea view. Good for bird watchers, as there are pelicans and egrets on the rocks. There are birds of prey across the road.

  • Perfect place to just stand and watch the waves crashing on the rocks while enjoying a coffee.
  • Its It's nice but pretty small. I wish more of it had actually been open to see. We were in and out in less than 10 minutes. The area around it is beautiful though so if you're in the area it's worth dropping by.
