Meander around the lovely hilltop neighborhood of Cerro Concepcion and enjoy sweeping views over Valparaiso's shorefront. Springing forth from the ruins of the city's old walls, the neighborhood quickly found its own bohemian, quirky character, which persists to this day. Colorful houses line the narrow streets, occasionally interrupted by equally vibrant street art. Hang out with Valparaiso's coolest crowd at one of the area's trendy coffee shops, or hunt for the perfect souvenir among the quaint handicraft shops. Absolutely fantastic neighborhood where every single twist and turn leads to absolutely amazing scenery. From the beautiful and meticulously painted start art to the painted fronts of residential buildings and the lovely shops scattered throughout the area. This place is a must see in the port city. All located within the historic quarter and designated as a UNESCO world heritage site which ensures this place remains beautiful for many years to come.

One of the most beautiful places in Chile! I found this place on a Google search as I was looking for a day trip from Santiago. It's about 2 hrs away but a pretty drive in the fall. The town is built on a hill and is a major port of the country. The old buildings are so colorful and pretty! There are lots of good seafood restaurants in the area. Very nice area to walk around. The roads are narrow and tough for cars. Some good viewpoints of the ocean and city as well. Need to come back to explore more!!
